Mr. Gareth called people and told them.
Englishman Gareth Lloyd, 49, was single and took care of his 84-year-old mother.
He also owned a prepaid cell phone.
Maybe he was under stress because of his situation in life, and needed to relax by pulling some phone pranks.
That might be why he made 5,800 phone calls where he told many of the listeners that his penis was stuck inside various objects, including a jar of jam and a vacuum cleaner.
When he was caught, he lawyer said:
"He thought that he was having a bit of a joke. It was a joke in poor taste, perhaps a little perverted to say the least. He accepts that… He now realises that his behaviour was totally unacceptable."
He avoided prison time, but was sentenced to a "community order", which requires him to follow certain conditions.
One condition is that he is not to own a prepaid cell phone.
