Standing on the shores of the unreal
Sam O’Hare made his short film The Sandpit using time-lapse tilt-shift photography to give the illusion that New York City and Brooklyn are very tiny living toys. He shot over 35,000 still photos and added the tilt-shift effects (where some parts of the image are out of focus) in post-production.
