A 1945 painting by the Hungarian-French artist artist Victor Vasarely uses positive and negative space to create the illusion of two men wrestling.

Victor Vasarely’s title "Catch" refers to a style of wrestling also known as "Catch as Catch Can", where two wrestling opponents could place holds on each other anywhere on the body. This is also where we get the expression "No holds barred".
