"Stop looking at me, or else," said the moon.
This short magical film by George Melies contains trick photography, "practical" scenic effects, painted scenery, explosions, smoke, Satan, the Fairy Queen, a carnivorous moon, and one hapless astronomer.
It was made in 1898.
(Viewer’s note: You might miss the reincorporation of the body when she throws the severed limbs into the mouth, so when she tosses them, look at the chair on the right side of the screen.)
