Welcome to my upside-down home.
I drive home and park my upside-down car.
I pay this guy to hold up the couch.
This guy has an even harder job –
keeping tea in the teacup.
Home, sweet upside-down home.
It’s called "Rumah Terbalik", or "reversed home", in the Malay language.
The building – which looks like a traditional Sabah kampung house except for its upside-down orientation – was created by Alexander Yee as an attraction to point out how overdevelopment might turn the word upside down. He charges to take a tour.
