Painted fish swim in a real tub full of fake water.

Artist Riusuke Fukahori creates fool-the-eye art by combining real objects with painted goldfish set in layers of resin. He paints his fish on clear resin, one layer at a time. When he’s done, his optical illusion is complete: the fish look three-dimensional, and the clear resin simulates water.
His art is both painting and sculpture.
