Can powerful magnets make you tell the truth?
Had they found the lying spot in the brain?

Researchers asked 16 volunteers whether a disc on a computer screen was red or blue. They were told they could lie or tell the truth. During the task, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) was used to direct electromagnetic radiation to certain areas of their brains. The researchers discovered that one spot in the left hemisphere increased lying, while stimulating the same area in the right hemisphere had no effect.

The spot, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, does not control lying, and more research must be done. It does, however, show that using transcranial magnetic stimulation might be a way of getting at the truth.
