A shark that deceives its enemies by glowing
If you want to hide in the light,

you must make your own light.

Usually, we think of hiding in the darkness, but the "splendid lantern shark" hides by hiding in the light. This small shark can create its own light with special light-emitting organs called photophores. It uses these luminescent organs in its belly for camouflage. When this shark is swimming above a predator, its belly glows. This imitates the light streaming down from the sun above, and hides the shark’s silhouette.
