Trick Photos of Girl Tennis Player Give
Illusion of Action

By planning the "action" in advance a photographer can give the illusion of movement in still pictures. For a photo of a girl tennis player smashing at a drive, Dale Britton, of Albuquerque, N. Mex., needed an assistant, a fishing pole and a length of string. He tied the ball to the fishing pole and his assistant dangled it into the picture area while the girl leaped into the air and swung her racket as if she had hit it.
