According to the U. S. Secret Service, counterfeiting money is a crime punishable by a fine or imprisonment for up to 15 years, or both. The federal government takes the crime very seriously.
Two woman in Vancouver Washington used counterfeit bills to rip off a Little League concession stand for about $250. Luckily one of them was trying to disguise herself with a "really loud red streak" of color in her hair. Volunteers also reported her license plate number to police.
These woman probably doesn’t understand the investment concept of risk / reward. Many criminals do not. That’s when the expected returns on your investment (making $250 by counterfeiting some fifty dollar bills) is compared to the amount of risk you must undertake if you lose (get big fine, go to jail for up to 15 years.)
