Al Flosso, the Coney Island Fakir

Don't let him fool you... he was a master.

New York magician Al Flosso (Albert Levinson) loved the theater, vaudeville, con men, and sideshow folk. He was friends with famous magicians like Houdini and Dai Vernon. He was extremely skilled at magic, which you might miss because of the goofy W. C. Fields-like character he used when performing.

But as you watch him pull coin after coin from this kid in a performance of the classic magic trick "The Miser's Dream", here's a secret you may not know: when he did this trick, he used less than 12 coins.
