A magician floats a ball in the air

The Zombie Ball illusion

Magician Neil Foster performs the Zombie Ball, a magical illusion invented by Joseph A. Karson in the 1940s. Mr. Foster's routine - a kind of dance with a fan, a large silk scarf and an impish silver ball - makes you believe the ball is suspended in the air. Mr. Foster's style and moves influenced other magicians for years.

(Mute the loud soundtrack, or turn it down completely if you can handle the silence.)
