The clothing that gets you high

This Karen Millen black and red dress
decorated with poppies was not involved.

The Chicago U.S. Customs and Border Protection International Mail Facility in Chicago received a batch of 65 “Traditional Dresses" coming from Laos. Paperwork and X-rays showed nothing out of the ordinary, but a narcotics detector dog noticed otherwise. All the dresses had been soaked in opium.

Obviously, the dresses would have needed to be washed of that pesky substance before they were worn.

  1. This is really distressing, but there is a rule inside the tax policy that permits the IRS to acquire taxes from the sale of illegal drugs. The tax law states that the dealer has the ability to anonymously pay taxes on the profit they generate through the sales of the illegal drugs. Here is the big kicker, the government just isn't allowed to turn the seller in for illegal drug dealing, they will be purely permitted to recover the taxes and document the name, so that whenever the seller is caught for dealing drugs, the prosecution simply cannot charge them with tax evasion.
