25 phrases that mean someone is lying

 
 God doesn't like liars, either.

Sometimes a speaker says things that sound honest but really mean the speaker is lying. Here are 25 of those phrases. Whenever the speaker says this... they mean this.
  1. “I hate to be the one to tell you this...”
    "I'm glad I'm the one who's telling you."
  2. “With all due respect...”
    "I don't respect you at all, and here's why."
  3. “I hear what you’re saying...”
    "I don't know what the hell you're talking about."
  4. "I’m not a racist, but...”
    "I don't want you to think I'm a racist when I say this horribly racist thing."
  5. “I’m not trying to hurt your feelings, but...”
    "Don't judge me, but I'm going to hurt your feelings."
