"Heatball is resistance against regulations!"

It gives out more heat than light, so obviously...
An engineer was angry that the European Union, to improve energy efficiency, banned incandescent light bulbs that were over 60 watts. So Siegfried Rotthaeuser and his brother-in-law looked into the regulations and realized that 75 and 100 watt light bulbs, with 95% of their output being heat and only 5% being light, could legally be sold - if they were sold as heaters.

They call them heatballs.

  1. I've heard about it, but it turned out differently: Well, they TRIED to sell them as heatballs. But this went to court and the judge decided against them.
