The con man who wore diapers

He was called "diaper man" for his fraud

Mr. Sean Kelly, a 40-year-old man from Port St. John, Florida, fooled caregivers into believing he was a mentally disabled man who had the maturity of a five-year-old.

Mr. Kelly pretended to have a disabled brother, and hired women over the phone to be his brother's caretaker.

Mr. Kelly then acted like the disabled man.

His caretakers would feed him and change his diapers. He sometimes sucked on a pacifier. One woman said she provided care for him for three months.

He was discovered when a caretaker's husband became suspicious and saw him get into a car and drive away.

He was charged with fraud because he never paid his female caretakers. And after his story was publicized, other conned caretakers came forward.
"It's not the money only... It was what he did to me. He played such a good role. I let him play video games with my kids and sleep on my couch."
It was the money, however, that got him in trouble. Kelly was charged with two counts of organized fraud of less than $20,000.

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a year of house arrest and four years of probation. He must also undergo a psychological evaluation.
