Which Hollywood stars were involved in Nigerian credit card scam?

Were five Hollywood players all holed up
in a secret Chicago apartment
in the 2700 block of South Princeton Avenue?

The writer Paul Haggis of the latest James Bond movies, writer-directors Paul Schrader of Taxi Driver and Noah Baumbach of The Squid and the Whale, and actors Ben Stiller and David Duchovny all had the same address in a small apartment in a South Side Chicago neighborhood.

What were they involved in?

We must ask Mr. Adedamola Olatunji, who answered the door when an undercover agent delivered some of the many Citibank credit cards sent to this address.

Mr. Olatunji, 29, has been indicted on forgery, mail fraud, theft, aggravated identity theft, computer fraud and other felony charges.

And to further the reputation of his native-born country, he's from Nigeria.

Mr. Olatunji obtained personal information on the victims, then called the bank to report lost cards and requested new ones be sent to his Princeton Avenue address.

He spent the money on iTunes and an on-line dating service.

My favorite quote: "Obviously, the bank has some issues they've got to straighten out," the source said. "The guy calls up with a foreign accent and says: 'Hey, I'm Ben Stiller, I lost my card. Can you send me a new one?' Oh. Sure, why not?"
