These counterfeiters are starting small

Next, they're going to counterfeit this 20 dollar bill.

I'm going to quote the entire original news item from the Michigan paper the Lansing State Journal, since there's really no way I can improve on it. Especially the last sentence:

Police are looking for three men suspected of using counterfeit bills at yard sales Saturday, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said.

The men used counterfeit $20 bills at three yard sales in Holt and two in Mason between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, Sgt. Matthew Flint said.

They paid for small items with the $20 bills and received change, exchanging the counterfeit bills for real money, he said.

Police have made no arrests, Flint said. Police are looking for a white male in his early 20s who is bald and has numerous facial piercings, another white male in his early 20s who is 5 feet 8 inches tall with facial piercings and acne and a black male in his early 20s who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and has pierced ears.

Anyone who has seen the suspects or believes they have been victimized should call 694-0045.
Police are encouraging anyone hosting an upcoming yard sale to visit for information about how to identify a counterfeit bill.
